HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- - Head Volleyball Coach Ricci Luyties has announced the signing of Wisconsin standout, Jillian Neave, Salem, Wis., to a national letter of intent and grant-in-aid for the 2007-08 academic year.
Neave, a 5-9, setter, was a four-year letterwinner for Coach Charlie Berg at Westosha Central High School, where she helped lead her team win three Wisconsin Division I championships. She was a second team all-state selection in 2006 and an all-state honorable mention in 2005. She received second team All-Milwaukee area honors and was a first-team all-conference honoree.
Neave plays club volleyball for the Wisconsin Juniors 18 for Coach Cherie Lininger. She has participated in the Junior Olympic Nationals for the past six years.
"We are very excited to have Jillian join our team," Luyties said. "She is an advanced freshman setter who will make an immediate impact on our program."
