Lady Eagles Softball Competes in Red and Blue Classic

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team travels to Oxford, Miss., to compete in Ole Miss' Red and Blue Classic, beginning Friday, March 2.
The Lady Eagles begin play on Friday, taking on Alcorn State at 3 p.m. and Kennesaw State at 7 p.m.
Southern Miss enters the tournament with a 4-10 record and is coming off of a 7-1 loss to Louisiana-Monroe on Wednesday.
On defense, the Lady Eagles are led by junior pitcher Shea Naramore (3-10), who has recorded a 7.75 ERA in 76.2 innings pitched with 28 strikeouts.
Offensively, Southern Miss is led by freshmen Megan Hill, Brandi Alonzo and Logan James and junior Allison Bullard. Hill has recorded a .432 batting average with three doubles, three triples, four home runs and 14 RBIs, while Alonzo is hitting .412 with two doubles, a home run and six RBIs.
James has recorded a .263 batting averaged, including four doubles, three home runs and 10 RBIs, while Bullard is hitting .250, including two doubles, three home runs and eight RBIs.
