Softball Continues C-USA Play with Weekend Series against UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Southern Miss softball team travels to Orlando, Fla., to continue Conference USA play in a weekend series against UCF, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The two teams first met in 2006, with the Lady Eagles claiming all three victories.

Southern Miss (9-18) enters the weekend series, coming off of back-to-back wins against Florida A&M on Wednesday. In conference play, the Lady Eagles currently hold an 0-3 record, being defeated by Houston last weekend.

UCF moved to 18-12 on the season when they swept Bethune-Cookman in a mid-week doubleheader, 9-1 and 18-2 on Thursday. The Golden Knights also hold an 0-3 C-USA record, being swept by East Carolina last weekend.
