On how George is preparing for Tulsa:
"I'm preparing for this game like I do every other game. Proper preparation prevents poor performance; I always say that."
Thoughts on the pressure of playing nationally televised games:
"It doesn't matter if it's one person watching or a million; you have to come out and play football. That's the only way you're going to win. It's a team sport and everybody has to come out every week. There is no 'I'. Every week I come prepared to play hard. That is what Southern Miss is known for, hard-nosed football."
Thoughts on whether or not Damien Fletcher's performance makes the O-line stand out:
"Always. When you have a good player behind you, it makes you look good. At the same time, we didn't perform to our capabilities last week. We've got to be much better. Central Florida was a tough team but we have to put that behind us. Now we have Tulsa, the conference champions. We're preparing to play like a Southern Miss football team and we'll see the outcome."
George's thoughts on the season so far:
"It's always positive when you're winning but at the same time, there are smaller things that we need to get better in. As a team, there is always room for improvement. We've got to get better and we've got to get better fast. We play a great team on Tuesday and we've got to come out ready to play ball."
How George gets mentally ready for a game:
"I like to listen to music and that's about it. I listen to a little Slim, old Cash Money, 2Pac; it varies. Music can really calm your nerves."
Thoughts about athletic superstitions:
"I don't have any; I just line up and play football."
