During the 2006 Southern Miss Golden Eagle Football Season, senior offensive lineman George Batiste will sit down with Southern Miss Athletic Media Relations Graduate Assistant Mallory Haynes to discuss the ins and outs of Golden Eagle Football.
Thoughts about the Florida game:
"I'm excited about the game. You get excited about every game you play but you tend to get excited about some more than others. That's the way it is every year. I think that we're prepared to win. We accept nothing less because that's what we've been preparing for this whole time. We worked hard during the summer and at two-a-days and we've really been working hard in practice these last couple of weeks. I guess only time will tell."
On team preparations:
"We study and watch film. We have to go out there every day and practice hard like we're playing an actual game. We'll have the scouts playing hard like they're our opponents so we get used to everything. We have to prepare ourselves in order to win. It's the only way to win. Proper preparation prevents poor performance."
Thoughts about road games:
"They're all the same to me. You have to get out there and compete to the best of your ability. Sometimes you get the comfort of being at your own home and other times you don't. It's a competition and the only thing you can do is play. You have to go ready to compete. I think we're ready for this one."
