Volleyball Team Gets An Addition

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- - Southern Miss Head Volleyball Coach Ricci Luyties has announced the signing of standout junior college player, Kristen Metz of Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada, to a national letter of intent for the 2006-07 academic year.
Metz, a 5-10 setter, played volleyball at Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kan., for Coach Julie Brookover. She received second team all-region VI honors. She was named the team's captain. She also played her freshman season at Tennessee State.
Metz attended Estevan Comprehensive School, where she played four years, two years on the junior team and two on the senior team. She played club volleyball for the Estevan Extreme and the Regina Radz Gold.
