19 Student-Athletes Earn Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss had 19 student-athletes earn Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal for the 2005-06 academic year, league commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today.
The medals are given to C-USA student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above during the academic year. A total of 242 student-athletes from league schools earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.
Both the women's basketball team and the women's track and field team had four selections, while volleyball, softball and men's golf each had two. Student-athletes from 10 different sports earned Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.
