HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss softball team plays its next to last non-conference game on Tuesday, with a 5 p.m., contest at Jackson State, in the fourth game of a seven-contest road trip. It will be the first meeting between the two schools in Jackson.
The game can be heard on the Southern Miss ISP Sports Network, with Softball SID Jared Florreich providing the play-by-play action by cell phone. Live stats will not be available.
Tuesday's game was a late addition to the 2006 schedule, due to the Jacksonville/Best Western Invitational tournament (Feb. 24-26) being consolidated from three days to two. As a result, that left an open date to add a game if necessary, though it wasn't mandatory.
