HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Golden Eagle football team completed preparations for Saturday's game against Marshall, today, with an hour and a half practice at M.M. Roberts Stadium.
Head Coach Jeff Bower said that the team had a good week of practice, adding that a big part of the game will be attendance by Golden Eagle fans.
"It's a tough weekend with school being out and people traveling for Thanksgiving," Bower said. "Our fans are important to us. It helps to have a big crowd, so I hope they'll come. It's also a good reason to come out."
Bower also mentioned that the injury status is looking "fairly decent."
"We've got some guys who are playing through some injuries," Bower added. "We've just got to go out there and do it."
Kickoff for Saturday's game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., CT., at M.M. Roberts Stadium. Fans not able to attend can watch it on CSTV.
Tickets for the Marshall game are still available and can be purchased at the Southern Miss Athletic Ticket Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by calling 1-800-844-TICK.
