HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football team practiced for two hours, today, at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility, despite the inclement weather, continuing preparations for Saturday's Conference USA match-up with UAB.
"Practice was pretty well today," Head Coach Jeff Bower said. "It was a little sloppy out there because of the rain, but it was good. We got through it, and we got a lot done."
Bower also mentioned that sophomore offensive lineman Ryan McKee, redshirt sophomore tight end Shawn Nelson and redshirt freshman defensive lineman Mam Nyang all sat out of practice on Monday and Tuesday due to injuries but are expected to return to action on Wednesday.
Kickoff for Saturday's game is scheduled for 7 p.m., CT., at M.M. Roberts Stadium. Fans not able to attend the game can watch it on CSTV.
Tickets for the UAB game are still available and can be purchased at the Southern Miss Athletic Ticket Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by calling 1-800-844-TICK.
