First Two-A-Day Practice In The Books
The team hit the practice field this morning in half pads, before finishing the first day of two-a-days in full pads.
Head Football Coach Jeff Bower thought the team?s practice efforts could have been better, especially after Sunday?s off day.
?I thought we were ok today,? Bower said. ?We were a little sluggish, but typically that happens when you have an off day. You lose that rhythm and have to start over. We?ve got to push through that. Our enthusiasm wasn?t bad, but it could be better. I?m a big believer that if you?re enthusiastic, that will be an indicator of how hard you work.?
The team will practice one time tomorrow at 3 p.m., and will follow the 2-1-2 practice rules that are mandated by the NCAA, until classes begin Aug. 25.
Bower said that the team would do some scrimmaging tomorrow, and that freshman Juamorris Stewart has left the team.
The Golden Eagles open the season Sunday, Sept. 4, in a 3 p.m., nationally televised ESPN2 contest, in the annual ?
