Southern Miss Fan Caravan To Make Stop at Kids Zone
HATTIESBURG, Miss. ? The Southern Miss Fan Caravan will make its second stop this Saturday, July 9 from 11 a.m. ? 2 p.m. at the Turtle Creek Mall in Hattiesburg. The Fan Caravan is in conjunction with the Kids Zone event sponsored in part by ClearChannel Radio and the Kids Directory. Come visit with members of the 2005 football team including: quarterback Dustin Almond, wide receiver Antwon Courington, lineman George Batiste, kicker Darren McCaleb, Seymour, cheerleaders and athletic department staff. Additionally, kids will also have a chance to shoot hoops with members of the Southern Miss basketball team.
The staff will bring football season ticket information, schedule cards and posters, giveaways, including season tickets and autograph memorabilia. The next stop for the Southern Miss Fan Caravan will be on Tuesday, July 19 from 3 ? 6 p.m. at the Newpoint Shopping Center in Hattiesburg located on Highway 98 West.
The 2005 Southern Miss football schedule will be exciting and competitive as the Golden Eagles welcome several new opponents into Conference USA. Home games include the season-opening ?Battle for the Bell? versus Tulane, Sunday, September 4; McNeese State, Saturday, September 17; Tulsa, Saturday, October 8; UCF (Homecoming), Saturday, October 15; and Memphis, November 19.
