Sutton Named Conference USA Hitter of the Week
The Golden Eagles lead-off hitter, Sutton hit .600 (12-for-20) with a .680 on-base percentage (two walks and three hit by pitches) in five games last week. He had a pair of doubles and a home run, while driving in three runs and scoring nine times. Sutton reached base 18 times in his 25 plate appearances for the week. He had three multiple-hit games and added a pair of stolen bases on the week. He also had 17 total bases for the week for an .850 slugging percentage. Sutton hit his sixth home run of the season in Saturday?s game against UAB.
