HATTIESBURG, Miss.? Two former Golden Eagles, Michael Boley and Jeremy Parquet, were drafted today in the NFL Draft.
Boley, a linebacker at Southern Miss, was taken in the fifth round by the Atlanta Falcons, with the 160th overall pick, while Parquet, an offensive lineman, was picked by the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round, the 238th overall selection.
The two players enjoyed standout careers at Southern Miss. Boley and Parquet were three-year starters, helping the Golden Eagles to the 2003 Conference USA Title and Liberty Bowl berth, also helping the team to a 31-10 2004 New Orleans Bowl victory over North Texas.
