In the first game, Southern Miss used solo home runs from Sue Logan and Jennifer Fox in the sixth inning to take the 4-3 victory.

In game two, Southern Miss finished with 14 hits and 11 runs, in its 11-3 victory. The Lady Eagles matched their third highest hit total of the season, also recording 14 against

The Lady Eagles extended their lead to 7-0 lead in the fourth. Allison Bullard led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on a single by Hammes. Following two flyouts to center field, Fox reached on an error to load the bases.

The Lady Cowgirls made the score 9-3 in the sixth, as Jana Jones scored on a fielding error by Lady Eagle rightfielder Prouty.
Huerta added a two-run home run in the seventh, her fourth of the season, to make the final score 11-4.
