Volleyball Team Concludes Regular Season

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - -- The Lady Eagle volleyball team wraps up their regular season at home against UCF on Friday night, trying to snap a 13-match conference losing streak. Seniors Jazzmien Stephens and Leslie Robertson will be honored in a post-match ceremony.
Southern Miss enters the weekend with a 6-17 overall record and 0-13 mark in Conference USA. The team played a non-conference match on Monday against Florida A&M, losing 3-0.
Southern Miss has lost its last seven matches, but has lost its last 13 conference matches.
Ashley Petrinec continues to lead the team with 217 kills, while Amanda Blunck leads the team in digs with 287. Ednali Serralta, who will miss the remainder of the season, leads the team in assists (726)and is tied for the lead in aces with 24. Stephens leads the team in total blocks with 71.

Following the UCF match, both teams will head to the Conference USA Volleyball Tournament, Nov. 17-21, in Houston, Texas. Rice is the host.
