Volleyball Hits The Road Again To Face Memphis and UAB

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Lady Eagle volleyball team returns to the road this weekend with a Friday match at Memphis and Sunday match at UAB.
Southern Miss enters the weekend with a 6-12 record overall and 0-9 mark in Conference USA. The team played three matches last week, a 3-0 win at home, before hitting the road for a pair of C-USA losses at Tulane (3-0) and UTEP (3-1).
Five Lady Eagles have 100 or more kills, led by Ashley Petrinec with 184. Amanda Blunck continues to lead the team in digs with 245 and ranks among the C-USA top 10 leaders, while Ednali Serralta leads the team in assists (683) and aces (23).
Memphis is 13-11 overall and owns 5-3 mark in league play. Six Lady Tiger players have recorded over 125 kills. Nancy Nellans leads the team with 330 kills and 343 digs. She ranks among the top 10 C-USA leaders in digs.
UAB is 13-6 and 4-5. Ivana Bozic leads the Blazers in kills (323), digs (189) and aces (40). Bozic ranks sixth in the league in kills per game and third in aces per game with 349 and also ranks among C-USA leaders.
Following the UAB match, Southern Miss travels to Tulsa for the rescheduled match, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m.
