Lady Eagle Volleyball Team Falls To UTEP In Four Games
Amber Bloom records 14 kills against UTEP |
Amber Bloom led the team in kills with 14, while Jazzmien Stephens and Stevi Cherry had 13 each. Cherry also added a team-high 17 digs. For the Miners, Kari Stacy led the team with a match-high 26, followed by Brooke Peugh with 15 and Jessica Williams chipped in 10 kills. Brittany Stowers had 18 digs.
UTEP out high Southern Miss .333 to .114 in game one on its way to a 30-18 win. Bloom recorded six kills.
The Golden Eagles managed only 10 kills in game two and finished the game with a .056 hitting percentage. Cherry posted six kills.
In game three, Stephens and Bloom got on track combining for 12 kills. The team committed only eight attack errors and hit .319 for a 31-29 win.
UTEP's Stacy recorded eight kills out of 13 swings and no attack errors in helping the Miners take a 30-26 victory.
