TCU opened the game with an 11-0 run, until a two-point jumper by Dianca Jones made the score 11-2 at the 16:38 mark.
From there, the Lady Eagles used an 11-3 run to cut the TCU lead to 14-13 at the 9:59 mark. TCU re-extended its lead thanks to an 18-1 run, and finished the first half on a 22-6 run to take a 36-19 halftime lead.

?Our turnovers continue to hurt us and you can?t continue to make unforced errors,? Lee-McNelis added. ?We?ve got to concentrate better. The one positive I saw was that we held TCU under their season average in offensive rebounds. We also continued to fight.?
In the second half, the Lady Eagles cut the TCU lead to 17 at the 18:31 mark, but that?s as close as they would get, as TCU used a 20-6 run to put the game out of reach.
Jones led Southern Miss with 19 points, while Deondra Carter added 10 and a team-high five rebounds.
Sandora Irvin had 26 points for TCU, while Natasha Lacy added 13. JimAnne Baker and Vanessa Clementino each had 10 points for the Lady Horned Frogs.
