HATTIESBURG, Miss.? The Golden Eagle football team practiced in full pads for two and a half hours today, at the Joe P. Park Practice Facility.
Southern Miss continued preparations for its season-opening game at
Head Football Coach Jeff Bower was not pleased with Wednesday?s practice.
?Practice was just ok today,? Bower said. ?We turned the ball over too many times, and dropped too many passes. Our concentration wasn?t very good today.?
Bower said the team will practice Thursday, and take Friday and Saturday off, ?if practice goes well.?
Bower added that he ?has not heard, but it doesn?t look good? about the status of sophomore tight end Alan Whitney and redshirt junior Chris McNair (academics).
