Golden Eagle Tennis Player Receives All-Conference Honors

Junior David Canudas ranked No. 84 in lastest ITA collegiate rankings

?  Southern Miss? junior David Canudas was named to the Conference USA All-Conference second team, announced today by the league office.  The awards were selected in a vote by the league?s 12 head coaches.

Tulane?s Michael Kogan and Head Coach Robert Klein received the top C-USA tennis honors, being named Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively.  David Goulet was named Freshman of the Year.

Canudas, a native of Barcelona, Spain, moved up in the national rankings to No. 84.  He owns a 20-12 record, including a 12-9 dual spring record.  He defeated five nationally ranked players and finished the Conference USA Tournament with a 1-0 record in singles play.
