Golden Eagle Tennis Player Receives National Ranking
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss men's tennis player David Canudas received a national ranking of 113, heading into the last week of regular season play and the Conference USA Men?s Tennis Championship.
The Barcelona, Spain, native has posted a 20-12 record, including a 12-9 spring record in dual match play. Canudas has posted wins over four nationally ranked opponents out of 10. He recently competed in the Conference USA Men?s Tennis Championship and posted a 1-0 record in singles and 1-1 at doubles. He has played in the No. 1 spot all season for the Golden Eagles.
The Golden Eagles finished the season with an 8-14 record, but played 10 nationally ranked opponents, including No. 2 Ole Miss.
Canudas will have to wait to see if he will make the NCAA Singles Championship.
