Michael Boley was named Walter Camp Football Foundation All-American today. |
Boley becomes the second Southern Miss player to be named Walter Camp All-American, joining Ray Guy, who was a first team selection in 1972.
This marks the third All-American Boley has been selected to this season, as he was tabbed second-team All-American by The Sporting News and SI.com.

The Walter Camp All-American team is selected by the head coaches and sports information directors of the 117 Division 1-A football schools and certified by UHY Advisors, a
Walter Camp, ?The Father of American Football,? first selected an All-American team in 1889. Camp, a former Yale University athlete and football coach, is credited with developing play from scrimmage, set plays, the numerical assessment of goals and tries and the restriction of play to 11 men per side.
The Walter Camp Football Foundation was founded in 1967 to perpetuate the ideals of Camp and to continue the tradition of annually selecting an All-American team.
