Football Concludes California Preparations
The team put the finishing touches on the game plan for the Golden Bears, as it prepares to host a Pac-10 team for the first time in M.M. Roberts Stadium.
Head Football Coach Jeff Bower said the team had a good week of practice.
?It was a good week,? Bower said. ?We had a strong week of preparation. We?re ready to play.?
Bower said the team is not concerned with
?We?re trying to win a game,? Bower said. ?That?s our motivation right there. Winning a ballgame and beating one of the best teams in the nation.?
Southern Miss was originally scheduled to host
Saturday?s game will be the final home contest for 21 Golden Eagles; Nate Young, Otho Graves, Pierre Hutchins, Michael Boley, Sherron Moore, Yamil Ortega, Patrick Corbett, Rashad Smith, Levon Pears, Carsha Stromas, Antoine Cash, Dillon Cleckler, Demarcus Barner, Chris White, Addaryl Edwards, Micky D?Angelo, Myron Powe, Jeremy Parquet, DaRon Lawrence, Marvin Young, Eric Scott and Chad Ruffin.
Southern Miss hosts No. 4 California on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 6:30 p.m., televised live on ESPN. The Golden Eagles secured bowl eligibility by defeating UAB on Saturday, 26-21, at M. M. Roberts Stadium. Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-844-TICK or 601-266-5418.
