Boley Named To ABC Sports/Cingular All-American Team
Michael Boley was named to ABC/Cingular All-American Team today |
"This is a great honor, not only for me, but for Southern Miss," Boley said. "There are a lot of outstanding players in the nation, and to be selected is an honor. This honor also is a tribute to my defensive teammates who also have worked hard and have given a lot to our program."
ABC Sports taped the awards show on Friday, Dec. 10, at the ABC Theater at Disney?s MGM Studios, and it was shown today to the entire nation.
Boley becomes the second Southern Miss player to be named to the team, joining Ray Guy, who was a selection in 1972.
This marks the fourth team Boley has been selected to, as he was tabbed second-team All-American by The Sporting News, SI.com and the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
