Football Continues Preparations For TCU
The team is currently 5-3 overall, 4-2 in Conference
Head Football Coach Jeff Bower said practice has gone well this week. Bower said that despite the back-to-back losses, there is no reason for desperation.
?We?ve had a good week in practice so far,? Bower said. ?You want to win and we?re working hard to do what we?ve got to do to win football games out in practice, to get us ready to play.
?I don?t think we?re desperate, because I think players can get uptight about that,? Bower said. ?We haven?t asked any more of our players, except to have the best week in practice they can have. We as coaches, myself included, have got to do a better job.?
Bower added that junior wide receiver Antwon Courington is ?fine? following a root canal.
Southern Miss and TCU will meet Saturday in a 2 p.m., contest from Amon G. Carter Stadium in
