Southern Miss had two players record double-doubles with Amanda Blunck registering 13 kills and a match-high 22 digs and Morgan Johnson added 12 kills and 13 digs. The Bearcats placed five in double-digit kills led by Julie DuPont with a match-high 29 kills, Myanna Hellsten and Leslie Newell recorded 13 kills apiece, Maria Pongonis had 12 kills and Rachel Torblaa added 11. Natalie Dossman and Pongonis had 16 digs and DuPont added 13.
Southern Miss jumped out to a 10-6 lead in game three. Blunck and Johnson combined for 11 of the Lady Eagles? 17 kills. Southern Miss out hit the Bearcats .293 to .239 and recorded six total blocks.
