Southern Miss Plays Last Non-conference Opponent HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss Lady Eagle volleyball team plays its final non-conference home match against Southeastern Louisiana, Oct. 26, in the Payne Center. Southern Miss is coming off a 3-0 loss at East Carolina. In that match, Jazzmien Stephens led the Lady Eagles with nine kills. Amanda Blunck posted a team-high 13 digs. Blunck and Nicole Rock also added seven kills apiece. Stephens continues to lead the team in kills with 186. Morgan Johnson, Amy Truong and Rock also have recorded 100 or more kills on the season. Blunck leads the team in digs with 259, and Truong also has over 200 digs with 216. Stephens leads the team in total blocks with 85. Southeastern Louisiana is 10-12 following a 3-0 loss to Stephen F. Austin. In that match, Keri Hamblin led the Lions with eight kills, Jennifer Jones and Melissa Jones had seven kills apiece. Brittany Gaydos recorded a match-high 27 digs. Ashley Rougeou leads team with 226 kills and 88 total blocks. Gaydos leads the team with 426 digs and 26 service aces. Jill Edwards has 572 assists and is tied for the lead in aces with 26. This is the 45th meeting between the two teams, and Southern Miss leads the series, 23-21. Following the Southeastern Louisiana match, Southern Miss will host Cincinnati (10/29) and Louisville (10/30) in C-USA play.
