Southern Miss Softball To Host Free Clinic HATTIESBURG, Miss. --
The free clinic is open to players of all ages and will be held from 1-3 p.m., at the complex. McNutt, members of her coaching staff and the 2004 Lady Eagle players all will take part in the event. Participants will receive instruction in the fundamentals of fast-pitch softball, including pitching, hitting, fielding and base running.
"This gives us an opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us over the years," McNutt said. "Fast-pitch softball has grown in this area since I have been here, so we expect a good turnout."
The Lady Eagles are currently in their preseason practices and will open the 2004 season with a doubleheader matchup against Louisiana-Monroe on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
