Lady Eagles Prepare For First Exhibition Match
HATTIESBURG, Miss ? Southern Miss Head Soccer Coach Matt Clark will get his first chance to see his 2003 squad in action against another opponent, Friday, as it travels to Huntsville, Ala., to compete in the Huntsville Preseason Classic.
Southern Miss faces Birmingham Southern, which allows Coach Clark to get a feel for what type of team he will field for this season. Match time is set for 5:30 p.m.
?We are one of those teams with so many new players, and we do not know exactly what system we will run,? Clark said. ?We will have potentially five or six new starters.?
Southern Miss opens the regular season next Friday in New Orleans, La., to take on Nicholls State. Match time is set for 5:30 p.m.
