Baseball Ranked As High As No. 23 In Latest Polls
Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team remained No. 23 in Baseball America's Poll, No. 29 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, moved up to No. 27 in Collegiate Baseball's Poll and dropped to No. 25 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association's Poll this week, after posting a 3-1 record last week, including two wins at Cincinnati.
East Carolina is ranked No. 32 in the Writer's Poll and TCU, South Florida, Tulane and East Carolina are receiving votes in the Writer's Poll. Tulane is receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Southern Miss (23-9, 9-3 Conference USA) returns to action Wednesday against Ole Miss at Pete Taylor Park at 6:30 p.m. The Golden Eagles host Charlotte for a three-game Conference USA weekend series, in conjuction with Eaglefest Weekend on Apr. 11-13. Friday's game starts at 6:30 p.m., Saturday's at 4 p.m., and Sunday's at 1 p.m.
