Rain Postpones Alabama-Southern Miss Softball Game
HATTIESBURG, Miss. ? The Alabama-Southern Miss softball game that was scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 6 p.m., has been postponed due to persistent showers. The game will be rescheduled, and the date and time will be announced on a later date.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Baton Rouge, La., to compete in LSU?s Purple and Gold Challenge, Feb. 28 ? March 2. The four-team tournament includes Houston and Jackson State. The Lady Eagles face the Cougars in a non-conference matchup on Friday, Feb. 28, at noon, and then battle JSU at 4 p.m.
On Sat., Mar. 1, Southern Miss plays Jackson State again at noon, and then play LSU at 2 p.m. Bracket play will be held on Sunday, March 2. All games at the Purple and Gold Challenge will feature live stats on SouthernMiss.com.
