Lady Eagle Volleyball Signs Illinois Standout HATTIESBURG, Miss. -
Johnson, a 6-0, middle hitter, was a three-four letterwinner at Benton High School, led her team to a two elite eight state appearance, three conference titles and a 122-25 record. She received first team all-state honors this past season. She was named the Southern Illinois Player of the Year. She was a three-time all-south and all-conference selection . Twice she was voted her team's MVP. She set records in single-season kill (421) and blocks (102). She finished her career with 1,055 career kills and 320 career blocks.
Johnson also earned four letters in basketball and led her team to three conference titles and one sweet 16 appearance. She was a two-time all-state selection and a three-time all-south and all-conference selection. She scored over 1,500 points in her career. She also was voted her teams MVP three times.
Johnson is an Illinois state scholar, class vice-president and ranked number one in her class. She also earned letters in track and a three-time all-south and all-conference selection.
