"Go Gold" Campaign On Way To Memphis
A new campaign, stemming from the "On Game Day ... Go Gold", is being promoted to encourage Southern Miss supporters who will be in attendance at the 2003 Liberty Bowl in
The campaign, a brainchild of several area Southern Miss Eagle Club members, grew out of Head Football Coach Jeff Bower's comments following the 1997 Liberty Bowl game, when, in his postgame comments, he talked about the "sea of gold" Golden Eagle fans exhibited during that memorable victory.
