Golden Eagles Finish Preparation, Ready For Houston HATTIESBURG, Miss. -
It was the final practice before this week's game at Houston. The Golden Eagles (5-3, 4-0 in Conference USA) meet the Cougars (5-3, 2-2), Saturday, at 4:05 p.m., at Robertson Stadium.
After having a poor practice mentally on Wednesday, the team rebounded with a crisper practice today -- one that was pleasing to Head Coach Jeff Bower.
"It was much better," Bower said. "We just didn't have great concentration yesterday, and we dropped too many balls. It was a lot better today."
Bower said that running back James Walley will miss his second-straight game because of a sprained ankle. Every other player, however, should be ready to go.
"James Walley can't go. He just has a sprained ankle," Bower said. "Everybody else should be okay. We have the normal nicks and bruises, but you just have to go play. It's that time of the year."
The Southern Miss ISP Sports Network will broadcast the game live from Robertson Stadium, with a pregame show beginning one hour prior to kickoff.
