Lady Eagles conclude non-conference slate, travel to New Orleans
The Lady Eagles are coming off an offensive show, defeating Centenary 97-44. All 12 Lady Eagles saw action and 10 scored two or more points. Five Lady Eagles scored in double-digits, while the team shot 52.9 percent from the field.
Dana Jones continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 10.8 points per game. Sonja Brown leads the team in rebounding (7.9 rpg) and blocks (4.0). Brown ranks fourth in the nation in blocked shots. Marlena Lee leads the team in assists with 32.
The Lady Eagles are averaging 61.5 points and 39.2 rebounds while shooting 41.0 percent from the field and 64.9 percent from the free throw line.
Following the UNO game, Southern Miss returns to New Orleans, opening its Conference USA schedule against Tulane, Jan. 11. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
