Two Football Games Added To Television Slate
Hattiesburg, Miss. - Two additional 2002 Southern Miss football games have been added to the list of televised games. The Sept. 21 game at Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., will be televised on ESPN2, starting at 6 p.m and the Nov. 9 contest at UAB in Birmingham, Ala., has been selected by ESPN Plus to be shown as well.
The Golden Eagles now have five games that have been selected for television. ESPN will broadcast the Louisville game on Thurs., Nov. 14, at 6:30 p.m. The Illinois game on Sat., Sept. 7 at 11 a.m., at Alabama on Sat., Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. and at TCU on Wed., Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m., will be televised by ESPN2. The UAB game on Nov. 9 will be shown on ESPN Plus at 2 p.m.
Southern Miss opens its season on Aug. 31 against Jackson State at M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Miss., at 6 p.m., ct. The freshman report on Aug. 3 and the upperclassmen report on Aug. 6, with two-a-day practices beginning on Aug. 8.
