Southern Miss Men's Tennis Team Loses To Ball State
The Southern Miss men?s tennis team dropped their final match at the UNLV Classic, losing to Ball State, 5-2, at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
Golden Eagles captured the doubles' points, winning No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. David Jansson and David Canudas, won at No. 2 doubles, defeating Chris Varga and Brad Rhodes (BSU), 8-6. Uwe Gneiting and David Terol defeated Matt Laramore and Klint Knable (BSU), 8-2.
After being down, 1-0, Ball State bounced back to take five of the singles' matches for the win. The Golden Eagles' only win in the singles came at No. 3 with David Canudas defeating Andrew Seni (BSU) in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4.
Southern Miss returns to action, when the Golden Eagles travel to No. 28 Louisiana State, Mar. 20.
