Files Receives Academic Honor
HATTIESBURG, Miss. ? Southern Miss volleyball player Bridget Files has been named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District VI second team. The junior holds a 3.65 GPA in Psychology.
Files is second on the team in kills with 361 and leads the Lady Eagles with 108 blocks, heading into tonight?s match against Memphis.
District VI represents all NCAA Division I schools in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. All district teams are selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.
