Golden Eagle Football Goes Back To Work
Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Southern Miss Football Team held a meeting on Thursday and went back to work on Friday in preparation for its Saturday, Nov. 9, game at UAB at Legion Field at 2 p.m., CT. The game will be televised on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and ESPN Plus.
Derrick Nix underwent an MRI on Tuesday morning and did not practice today. The results of the test were negative.
"We're not real sure where the problem is," Southern Miss Head Football Coach Jeff Bower said. "His MRI was negative. They possibly could do more tests on him and we're considering doing that. I don't know what his status is. We're certainly not going to do anything with him until at least next Tuesday. That's all I know."
The Golden Eagles will take off the weekend and will start game preparation for the UAB on Monday afternoon with the normal practice week.
