Lady Eagles host South Florida in Conference USA action
Southern Miss (5-5) is coming off a tough, 3-2 loss, to TCU in the conference opener for both teams. Kelly Tribble led the Eagles with 15 kills and Lisa Downey added 10 kills. The Eagles had four players record double-digit digs, Downey leading the way with 16 followed by Crystal Zane with 15, Brynn Olsson had 12 and Amy Truong added 10.
South Florida (5-3) is coming off a 3-1 win against Florida State. This match is the conference opener for South Florida. Michelle Collier led the Bulls with 22 kills and 15 digs against FSU. Collier leads the team in kills with 152 (6.08 kpg) and digs 66 (2.64 dpg). South Florida leads the series with Southern Miss, 20-0.
Following the South Florida match, Southern Miss travels to Tulane, Sept. 25.
