SOUTHERN MISS' KANGAS NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE

Junior Miikka Kangas was named to the first team All-Conference USA as voted on by the league's coaches. This is the second year Kangas was named to the first team.

Kangas finished 2000-01 season with a record of 20-13, including 11-8 during the spring. He was ranked as high as 66 in the ITA national rankings.

Kangas is joined on the first team All-Conference USA by: PACO ANTELO of South Florida, JEVGENIJ CARIOV of DePaul, OLA JONSSON of Charlotte, and MICHAEL KOGAN AND VICTOR ROMERO of Tulane.
