Lady Eagles Finish Season with Two Conference Road Matches
The Southern Miss volleyball team will finish its regular season this weekend, traveling to face South Florida on Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m., and UAB on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m.
Kelly Tribble ends her career with the Lady Eagles, leading the squad with 358 kills on the year. The senior will help the squad build on its wins after ending a 10-match losing streak last weekend.
Southern Miss (8-17, 3-11) split matches over the weekend, losing to Houston, 3-1, but rebounding with a 3-1 win over TCU.
South Florida (19-7, 11-3) is riding a seven-match winning streak with recent shutout victories over Southeast Missouri and Saint Louis. The Bulls have not lost a game while recording their current string of successful matches.
UAB (10-16, 2-12), just like Southern Miss, is fighting for a position in the C-USA tournament, and Sunday's match could have a significant effect on both teams, regarding who will make the tournament.
