Weekly Volleyball Update
Southern Miss wrapped up its regular season with two wins and secured the
10th-seed in the 2000 Healthy Choice Conference USA Volleyball Tournament,
Nov. 16-19. The Golden Eagles play the host, Charlotte, in the first round
at 7 p.m.
The Lady Eagles (12-18, 4-12) are coming off a 3-0 win at UAB. Kendall
Reid-Webster led three players in double-digit kills with 15, Kelly Tribble
added 13 and Lindsay Westendorf registered 11 kills. Nicki Tribble started
her first match as a setter and recorded 34 assists. Westendorf and
Reid-Webster had 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
Charlotte wrapped up its regular season with a 3-2 loss to Marquette. South Florida enters the tournament as the top seed followed by
Cincinnati, Louisville, Houston, DePaul, Tulane, Charlotte, Saint Louis,
Marquette, Southern Miss, Memphis, and UAB.
The winner of the Charlotte-Southern Miss will play Cincinnati in the
quarterfinals, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m.
1999 and 2000. She was a member of the 1999 Verizon Academic All-District VI team.
