Southern Miss Sweeps Jackson State in Three
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss volleyball team used only 55 minutes to sweep
Jackson State in three games, 15-3, 15-5, 15-1, in non-conference volleyball action, Tuesday
night.
Kelly Tribble led Southern Miss (10-16) with 13 kills while Bridget Files and Kendell
Reid-Webster added six kills each. Tribble also recorded four service aces. Katherine Murrell
led Jackson State (4-32) with five kills.
Southern Miss took jumped out to an early lead in game one and never looked back winning
15-3. The Lady Eagles continued to control the tempo and won the next two games, 15-5, and
15-1.
Southern Miss returns to action Friday and Saturday when the Lady Eagles conclude the home
portion of their schedule. Southern Miss hosts South Florida, Friday night at 7 pm, and ends
the weekend C-USA series, Saturday night, against Houston at 7 pm.
