Began his career as a defensive tackle before injuries forced him to move to the other side of the ball ... During the 1968 season he was the only sophomore to make the starting lineup for the entire season ... Ranked among the team leaders in tackles and quarterback sacks in 1968 ... Although injured in the spring of 1969 continued to play hurt during the 1969 and 1970 seasons ... Finished his career as an offensive tackle during the 1970 season ... A talented player whose speed and quickness made him one of the most difficult players to stop ... Known for his hard-nosed attitude and ability to play with pain ... Was a member of the team that upset No. 4 Ole Miss, 30-14, in 1970.
