Michael Boley (Football, 2001-04)
A two-time All-American linebacker for the Golden Eagles who was also the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2004...Selected to the All-Conference USA team in 2002, 2003 and 2004...Was a three-year starter at linebacker for the Golden Eagles and one of the most versatile athletes to play that position...Finished his career with 412 tackles, 55.5 tackles for losses, 27 quarterback sacks, two interceptions, 14 passes deflected, nine forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries...As a sophomore in 2002 he had 142 tackles, 16 tackles for losses and eight sacks while leading the team to a 7-6 record...In 2003, he had a career high 151 tackles along with 22.5 tackles for losses with 11 quarterback sacks and helped the team to a 9-4 record and the Conference USA championship and a berth against Utah in the Liberty Bowl...As a senior, he had 117 tackles with 16 tackles for losses, seven quarterback sacks and an interception and helped the team to a berth against North Texas in the New Orleans Bowl...Selected in the 5th round of the 2005 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons and played with the Falcons and the New York Giants.
