Larry Hancock (Football, 1962-63)
Was an outstanding lineman from 1961 to 1963...Was a valuable part of the 1962 team that won the UPI College Division National championship that finished with a 9-1 record...His most valuable assets were his speed and quickness that caused problems for opponents...Had an innate love of the game and was a versatile player who excelled in many different roles for the team...His leadership abilities had a great deal to do with the team's success...The three seasons that he played the team was 22-6-1...Since finishing up his career at Southern Miss he has remained active in many different ways in supporting the university and the athletic department.
