Keith Kennedy (Men's Swimming, 1980-84)
He was a four-year letterman from 1980 to 1984. He is one of only two four-year letter winners in the program history. He entered Southern Miss out of Hattiesburg High School as one of the top swimmers in the state of Mississippi. He was awarded the school's first ever swimming scholarship. He was the team's top point scorer as a freshman and was the team's most valuable player as a freshman. He was elected team captain as a sophomore. He graduated with a 3.0 GPA and received an NCAA post-graduate scholarship. His specialty was the breast stroke. He was a multi-talented swimmer who also was a part of the 400-medley relay team with a time of 3:41.27.
