Jarrett Hoffpauir (Baseball, 2002-04)
A talented second baseman and helped lead the Golden Eagles to the 2003 Conference USA regular season and tournament championships along with two appearances in the NCAA tournament...Finished his career with a .348 batting average, along with 57 doubles, five triples and 22 home runs...Also drew 86 walks in his career...As a freshman, he hit .320 with a home run and 32 runs batted in, while helping the Eagles to a 36-22 record....In 2003, he hit .307 with 10 home runs and 53 runs batted in and the Eagles won both the regular season and league tournament title and hosted its lone NCAA regional at Pete Taylor Park...That team had a 47-16 overall record and posted a 23-7 mark in Conference USA ...As a junior, he batted .405 with 11 home runs and 92 runs batted in and the Golden Eagles finished the year with a 45-19 record and a 21-9 mark in C-USA...That team advanced to the NCAA tournament at LSU...Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 6th round of the 2004 Major League Draft...Played parts of two seasons in the major leagues with the Cardinals and the Toronto Blue Jays.
